An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.
Southlake, TX | Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM | 25 Guaranteed Hours/Week We are looking for a dependable, mature and personable individual to help care for our two French Bulldogs and assist with the day-to-day upkeep and organization of our home in Southlake. This is a permanent, year-round part-time position with 25 guaranteed hours per week , Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If we are traveling or don't need you for all of the scheduled hours in a particular week, you will still be paid for the full 25 hours. The primary responsibility is making sure our dogs are well cared for and have company during the day. They need walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime and attention. During downtime, we would like help with light cleaning, laundry, tidying and general household organization.
Typical responsibilities include:
Caring for and spending time with our two French Bulldogs Walking the dogs and providing regular potty breaks Preparing their meals and keeping their feeding areas clean Light cleaning and tidying around the house Laundry and basic household organization Bringing in packages and handling occasional household tasks Keeping an eye on the home when we are not there My wife and I both have demanding careers and divide our time between working from home and working from the office. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and who takes pride in keeping things organized without needing a detailed list every day. This is not a traditional housekeeping position. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs and would enjoy becoming a trusted, long-term part of our household. This position could be particularly attractive to someone who is semi-retired or simply looking for a consistent part-time weekday schedule. We care much more about reliability, judgment, maturity and attitude than having a particular professional background. We also travel periodically and would ideally like to find someone who would be interested in occasional overnight house sitting and caring for the dogs while we are away. House sitting would be optional and compensated separately.
