Job Summary Hello fellow groomers! Island Paws Spa & Boutique is looking to add a motivated and experienced member to our team! We are a fast expanding and very busy salon located in Middletown Rhode Island. This is a part time position where you would have a bather. This is a W2 50% commission/tip based pay position. We would supply a lift table , dryer, as well as any and all products, you just need your tools. We are looking for an experienced groomer that is able to manage their own schedule. Thank you! Duties Perform grooming services including, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, ensuring their well-being throughout the process. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs, preferences, and any observed health concerns. Provide excellent customer service to build strong relationships with clients and ensure repeat business. Assist with heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Skills Proficiency in various grooming techniques for different breeds. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for larger animals or equipment. Knowledge of animal behavior and safety protocols in a kennel or pet care environment A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their health and happiness.

Pay:

$300.00 - $800.00 per week
