Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Pet Sitter to join our team. As a Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to pets while their owners are away. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a flexible and rewarding environment.
Duties:
  • Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed
  • Walk dogs and engage in playtime activities to ensure they receive proper exercise
  • Clean litter boxes, cages, and other pet areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
  • Monitor pets' health and behavior, reporting any concerns or changes to the owner or veterinary staff
  • Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special needs or preferences
  • Provide companionship and attention to pets to reduce anxiety and promote overall well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including meals, exercise, and any notable observations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in pet care or related field is preferred (e.g., dog handling, pet sitting, veterinary assistant/technician)
  • Knowledge of basic animal care practices and understanding of different breeds' characteristics
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
  • Ability to handle animals with care and compassion while ensuring their safety
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and ability to recognize signs of distress or illness
  • Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes as needed
