Overview Join our dedicated team as an Animal Caretaker and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to a variety of animals. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of animals, ensuring their well-being through attentive care, handling, and enrichment. This position allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your skills and enthusiasm can thrive. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment, and monitoring health status Handle animals safely and confidently using proper animal handling skills Assist with pet grooming activities such as bathing, trimming nails, and basic hygiene maintenance Support veterinary procedures by preparing animals, transporting to and from the vet clinic, and assisting with examinations or treatments as directed Engage in dog and horse training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization Maintain cleanliness of animal living areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies, feed bags, hay bales, or assist with animal movement Desired Skills (not necessary - can be learned on the job) Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet grooming Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is excellent Strong animal handling skills to ensure safety for both animals and staff Knowledge of pet care best practices including feeding, hygiene, and enrichment activities Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Familiarity with kennel operations or procedures is a plus Compassionate attitude combined with active communication skills to support team collaboration Previous experience with handling horses is preferred but not required Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals meets your desire to provide exceptional care. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
