This role is perfect for someone who loves working hands‑on with animals and takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and comforting environment for pets while their families are away. What You'll Do As a Kennel Attendant, you'll help ensure our furry guests are happy, healthy, and well cared for by: Feeding, medicating (oral/topical), and walking dogs and cats Providing comfort, attention, and emotional support to boarding guests Monitoring appetite, eliminations, behavior, and overall wellbeing Maintaining clean, sanitized kennels and common areas Giving baths and assisting with nail trims Keeping accurate electronic records for each guest's daily care Assisting across boarding, salon, and hospital teams as needed Experience & Skills Experience working with dogs and cats in a professional or volunteer setting Kennel technician or animal care experience preferred Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments Able to administer oral and topical medications Strong attention to detail and observation skills Willing and able to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks Ability to stand for long periods and walk dogs frequently Basic computer skills for electronic record keeping Team‑oriented mindset and positive, dependable work ethic About Us At Animal Medical Center of Forney, we offer Primary Care, Urgent care, boarding, and daycare for dogs and cats in Forney, Mesquite, Terrell, and Rockwall Communities.
