Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, brushing, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, including tools, tubs, and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and breed-specific styling tips Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary support as needed in a veterinary or pet care setting Support pet handling activities during appointments or while managing kennel or animal care areas, demonstrating patience and compassion Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a focus on dogs of all breeds and sizes Knowledge of dog training techniques to manage behavioral challenges during grooming sessions Strong animal handling skills with expertise in animal restraint and safe pet care practices Team work Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and communicate effectively about grooming services Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals
