An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.
Our mobile pet grooming service brings full-service grooming for dogs and cats directly to families across North Dallas, Frisco, and Prosper. We work out of a fully equipped grooming van — no crowded salon, no cage drying, no waiting rooms. Just one pet at a time, one-on-one attention, and happy clients at their own front door. We are a growing local business, and we are looking for a part-time groomer who takes pride in their work and enjoys building relationships with pets and their owners. What You Will Do Perform full-service grooming for dogs and cats: bathing, drying, brush-outs, de-shedding, haircuts and breed-standard trims, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims Drive our fully equipped grooming van to scheduled client appointments throughout the North Dallas, Frisco, and Prosper area Greet clients, review pet history and grooming preferences, and recommend the right service package and add-ons Handle pets safely and calmly, including seniors, anxious pets, and cats Process payments and check clients out using our iPad-based booking and payment system Keep the van, equipment, and tools clean, sanitized, and organized before, between, and after appointments Track appointment notes and pet records accurately in our scheduling software Encourage repeat bookings and rebooking at checkout
What We Are Looking For Required:
Minimum 1 year of professional pet grooming experience Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely drive and park a full-size grooming van Comfortable using an iPad, a booking app, and a card payment system Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional presence with clients Basic sales ability — comfortable recommending services and add-ons and asking clients to rebook Physically able to lift and handle pets up to 60 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a mobile van environment Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without direct supervision Nice to have: Grooming school certificate or completed apprenticeship Experience with hand-scissoring and breed-specific cuts Experience with cat grooming, including lion cuts and de-matting Pet first aid and CPR certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) What We Offer $25.00 per hour base pay as a W2 employee — no booth rent, no 1099 surprises Performance bonus program on top of hourly pay 100% of your tips Depending on booked volume, groomers can earn approximately $200 to $500 per day in combined base pay, bonus, and tips Fully equipped, professionally built grooming van — all equipment, products, and supplies provided Fuel, insurance, and van maintenance covered by the company Flexible part-time scheduling around your availability One pet at a time — no overbooking, no chaotic salon floor Steady, growing local client base and real opportunity for more hours as we expand How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed with your resume.
