Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Assess each dog's health condition during grooming sessions; recognize signs that may require veterinary attention or veterinary technician consultation Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes; ensure pets are comfortable throughout their visit Support other team members with pet sitting or kennel duties as needed; handle heavy lifting of supplies or large dogs safely Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Background in veterinary settings such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is advantageous for recognizing health issues and handling animals safely Familiarity with dog training, animal handling, animal restraint, and pet care best practices to ensure safe interactions Experience working with animals in kennel environments or pet sitting roles demonstrates reliability and compassion Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and provide a positive experience for clients Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while maintaining energetic engagement with pets Join us in creating joyful grooming experiences that leave pets looking great and feeling their best!
