Job Summary Join our dynamic pet care team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully styled pets. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services tailored to each pet's unique needs, ensuring their comfort and safety while enhancing their appearance. Your expertise will help strengthen the bond between pets and their owners through exceptional care, communication, and attention to detail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on animals' lives every day! Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including brushing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling to meet owner preferences and breed standards Handle animals with care using animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming procedures with precision and compassion Assist with dog training activities and reinforce positive behaviors during grooming sessions Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, and pet health considerations Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work areas Skills Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various temperaments and sizes Knowledge of animal handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care best practices Proficiency in pet coat styling, pet grooming, and pet nail trimming techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or animal transport Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally Customer service experience with a friendly attitude that fosters trust and satisfaction among clients Benefits Paid further education opportunities (Groom Texas , Petpro classic, etc) 1 hour lunch break Flexible time off Weekends off Federal holidays off Bonus Join us in creating a welcoming environment where pets feel safe and loved!
