About the Position- We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking
  • Dog Groomer
  • to join our salon team.
Our priority is providing excellent grooming services while making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals and understands that every dog has a different personality, temperament, and comfort level. The right person will be patient, kind, attentive, and able to handle dogs with confidence and care. Responsibilities- Perform professional dog grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, breed-specific trims, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other routine grooming services. Handle dogs safely and gently throughout the grooming process. Evaluate each dogs temperament and adjust handling techniques as needed. Remain patient and calm with nervous, anxious, elderly, or difficult-to-handle dogs.
  • Communicate professionally with pet owners about grooming preferences and their dogs individual needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area.
  • Properly clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment. Monitor dogs for signs of stress, discomfort, or potential health concerns and communicate any concerns appropriately.
  • Follow salon safety procedures and treat every dog with respect and compassion.
Provide a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. Work cooperatively with other salon employees and contribute to a friendly, respectful workplace. Hardworking — Takes pride in doing quality work and is willing to stay productive throughout the day. Calm Under Pressure — Can remain composed when working with challenging dogs or unexpected situations. Attentive — Pays close attention to the dogs safety, comfort, and grooming needs.
  • Detail-Oriented— Takes pride in a clean, professional finish and notices the little details that make a difference.
A Team Player — Works respectfully with coworkers and is willing to help wherever needed. Professional — Understands that excellent customer service and communication are an important part of the job. Animal-Loving — Most importantly, genuinely enjoys working with dogs and cares about their well-being. Experience- Previous professional dog grooming experience is preferred. Grooming certification or formal training is a plus. We are also willing to consider someone who is newer to professional grooming but demonstrates excellent animal-handling skills, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the right attitude. Our Ideal Groomer- We arent simply looking for someone who can cut hair.
  • We are looking for someone who cares about the dog underneath the haircut.
A great groomer understands that earning a dogs trust is part of the job. They are patient when a dog is nervous, gentle when a dog is uncomfortable, confident when a dog is difficult, and proud of the quality of their work.
