Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated AM/PM Kennel Tech Lead to oversee daily kennel operations during morning and evening shifts. This energetic leader will ensure the highest standards of animal care, cleanliness, and customer service while guiding a team of kennel technicians. The ideal candidate is passionate about animals, possesses strong leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Kennel Tech Lead, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners alike. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily kennel activities during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality animal care. Lead by example in handling animals with compassion and confidence, including dog training, animal restraint, and pet handling techniques. Oversee cleaning and sanitization protocols to maintain pet care facility hygiene and prevent the spread of illness. Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, grooming, and outdoor activities to enrich animals' stay. Train and mentor kennel staff on proper animal handling, customer service, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Monitor team lifting tasks to ensure safety during heavy lifting or large animal handling. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care needs, behavior concerns, or special instructions while providing exceptional customer service. Skills Proven veterinary experience or veterinary technician background with knowledge of animal health needs. Experience in pet sitting, pet boarding, or animal care facilities with a focus on kennel operations. Strong dog training skills and understanding of animal behavior for safe handling and restraint. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle outdoor work conditions comfortably. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff. Familiarity with cleaning protocols specific to veterinary or pet care environments to ensure sanitization standards are met. Team lifting experience combined with leadership qualities to guide staff effectively during busy shifts. Experience in outdoor work environments or pet care facilities that require attention to detail in sanitation and animal well-being. Pay:
$13.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
