Position Summary As an Animal Care Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily care, safety, and well-being of our canine and feline guests. You will work in our boarding and daycare departments, ensuring pets receive outstanding care while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the resort. Every day is different. One shift may involve supervising daycare playgroups, while another may focus on caring for boarding guests, administering medications, cleaning accommodations, and providing individualized attention to pets. This role is ideal for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with animals and understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer experiences to pet parents. Essential ResponsibilitiesPet Care & Supervision Treat every pet with kindness, respect, and compassion. Ensure guests receive appropriate food, water, medications, and special care as directed. Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and immediately notify management of any concerns. Walk dogs safely on leash to and from exercise and play areas. Supervise group play sessions and ensure safe interactions among multiple dogs. Redirect or remove pets from situations that may escalate into unsafe behavior. Engage pets in enrichment activities, exercise, play sessions, and positive interactions. Follow all handling instructions and special care notes, including feeding requirements, medication schedules, behavioral precautions, and separation instructions. Document feeding habits, elimination patterns, playgroup interactions, and any observations regarding a pet's overall well-being. Cleaning & Facility Maintenance Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for all guests. Clean and disinfect pet accommodations, exercise yards, food and water bowls, and common areas according to company standards. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants as instructed. Remove pet waste promptly throughout the day. Operate washers and dryers to clean bedding, towels, and pet belongings. Ensure all pet belongings are returned to the correct guest. Empty trash containers and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Keep floors, drains, aisles, carts, shelves, counters, sinks, and workspaces clean and organized. Assist with general property upkeep and report maintenance concerns as needed. Communication & Teamwork Communicate effectively with managers and fellow team members regarding guest care. Provide accurate updates and documentation regarding pets in your care. Notify management immediately of any operational, maintenance, inventory, or safety concerns. Maintain awareness of company communications, policies, and operational updates. Support other departments when needed and contribute to a positive team environment. Help create a welcoming experience that builds trust and lasting relationships with pet parents. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and grasp throughout the workday. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures. Work in environments with noise, distractions, and frequent pet activity. Tolerate exposure to pet hair, bodily fluids, cleaning products, and other aspects associated with animal care. Comfortably handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
