Duties Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and pet safety Handle animals gently and confidently during feeding, exercise, grooming, and medical routines Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and daily pet care activities to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for Support veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed Monitor animal behavior for signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with outdoor activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime in secure outdoor spaces Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large animals safely using team lifting techniques Maintain detailed records of animal intake, discharge, health status, and behavioral observations Support sanitation efforts by cleaning equipment, grooming tools, and facility surfaces to prevent illness transmission Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and care routines Qualifications Prior veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques is beneficial for ensuring safety for both pets and staff Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably Strong cleaning skills with an eye for detail to maintain a sanitized environment Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Pet grooming experience is a plus for assisting with routine hygiene care Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting practices Familiarity with animal care facility sanitization protocols ensures a healthy environment for all animals Join us in creating a caring atmosphere where animals thrive!
