Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Groomer to join our dynamic pet care team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services that keep pets looking and feeling their best. Your expertise will help ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners, fostering trust and loyalty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with your grooming skills in a lively, supportive environment dedicated to animal well-being. Commission is 50 percent! Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting for a variety of dog breeds and other small animals Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Use animal restraint techniques effectively to manage pets safely during grooming sessions Provide pet training guidance and reinforce positive behaviors during grooming appointments Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health standards Assist with pet handling and basic veterinary care tasks when needed, including animal restraint and observation Offer excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, recommendations, and aftercare instructions Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures related to animal health and safety Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of all temperaments and sizes Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant responsibilities is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger animals or equipment safely Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns professionally.
