About the Role Puppy House is searching for a compassionate and experienced Junior Groomer/Bather to become a vital part of our team. In this hands-on role, your primary focus will be delivering top-notch bathing services while ensuring every puppy feels safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in veterinary care, professional pet sitting, dog training, or grooming who genuinely loves working with animals.
What You Will Do Expert Pet Care:
Thoroughly bathe, dry, and brush puppies, paying close attention to specific breed standards and individual needs.
Safe Handling:
Confidently and gently manage puppies, utilizing appropriate restraint methods to ensure a stress-free and secure environment.
Health & Behavior Monitoring:
Keep a watchful eye on the puppies during your shift, quickly identifying and reporting any behavioral or health concerns.
Facility Maintenance:
Take pride in your workspace by keeping the bathing stations, tools, and kennel areas sanitized and organized.
Client Engagement:
Provide exceptional customer service by speaking knowledgeably and warmly with potential pet parents.
Team Collaboration:
Pitch in with daily operations, including general kennel cleaning and assisting fellow staff members as needed.
What We Are Looking For Relevant Experience:
Previous hands-on experience handling dogs/puppies in a professional environment (grooming salon, kennel, or veterinary clinic).
Helpful Backgrounds:
Candidates who have worked as Veterinary Assistants, Vet Techs, or Kennel Technicians will stand out.
Technical Skills:
A solid understanding of professional bathing tools, grooming techniques, and safe animal restraint protocols.
People Skills:
Excellent communication abilities to build trust with customers and work seamlessly with our team.
Physical Stamina:
The ability to stay active on your feet and comfortably lift up to 80 pounds unassisted.
