Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional pet care, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience with animal handling, pet grooming, or veterinary assistance is highly valued. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to dogs in the kennel and daycare environments, including feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior Assist with dog training activities and reinforce positive behaviors Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, and brushing as needed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to promote a hygienic environment Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to veterinary staff or management Support pet sitting duties by caring for animals in our facility Assist groomers or other staff with animal care procedures when required Engage with pet owners professionally, providing updates on their pets' well-being and answering questions about the business, appointments, and pet care Qualifications Prior experience in pet care, kennel work, or veterinary settings is preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills is a plus Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary assistant duties is advantageous Ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques and animal handling skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or supplies) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if needed This role is vital in ensuring our pets receive the highest quality care while providing peace of mind to their owners.
