Job Description

We are looking for a mature, seasoned candidate who will enjoy having the flexibility and independence to oversee junior attendants, interface via phone and in person with customers, and be a part of the management team. Compensation is commensurate with prior experience. •We are looking for a Supervisor that is able to work our afternoon/PM shift Shifts 12:30pm to 7:30pm. Healthy Hound Playground is an upscale dog daycare, boarding, and grooming kennel facility located in Fairfax, VA. We are looking to hire folks whose personalities and work ethic will match the high standards we have set for this innovative dog daycare. You will enjoy working here if you love dogs and are diligent about following direction.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Oversee 10-12 daycare attendants at a time, and ensure rooms are properly staffed and running smoothly. Work closely with Pet Care Supervisor Assist reception with dog checkin/check out during am and pm rushes. Introduce new dogs into the pack, then contact owners to give them a review. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed by staff. Check in regularly and work closely with the Pet Care staff. Oversee walks. Identify issues / communicate & resolve with management. Interact with customers in a mature, professional manner. Daycare in the rooms.

Professional demeanor and ability to converse with clients Genuine love for dogs / animals Ability to work well with others Calm disposition Attention to detail when completing tasks and marking forms to track feeding, walks, and medication administration Able to act quickly when needed for the welfare of the dogs Punctuality & reliable attendance Able to work holidays Must have reliable transportation
