Overview Weekends and Holidays (morning and afternoon shifts) are shared and required. Usually you work four days (7am to 6pm) a week unless you work that weekend. Duties Supervise and care for pets during lodging stays and daycare visits, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Handle pet feeding, administering medications if needed, and maintaining proper nutrition routines Engage pets with play, exercise, and socialization activities to promote healthy behavior and reduce stress Perform animal handling tasks including restraint, grooming assistance, and behavior management to ensure safe interactions Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and cleaning procedures Monitor pet behavior closely to identify signs of distress or health issues, reporting concerns promptly to veterinary staff or supervisors Assist with outdoor activities such as walks or supervised playtime in secure outdoor spaces to promote physical activity Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations that demonstrates strong animal handling skills Knowledge of animal behavior principles to effectively manage diverse pet temperaments Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during tasks like moving supplies or assisting with large animals or equipment Customer service experience that supports positive interactions with pet owners and visitors Hands-on experience in animal care facilities emphasizing sanitation standards and safety protocols Join us in creating a lively, caring environment where animals thrive!
