Job Summary:

Experienced Pet Groomer — Full-Time or Part-Time Come groom with a team you'll actually enjoy being part of! Canine Cottage Salem is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Pet Groomer with an existing clientele to join our established grooming team! We already have experienced grooming staff, a loyal customer base, and consistent demand as part of our busy daycare, boarding, and grooming business. We're looking for someone who can bring an existing book of clients with them while also growing their clientele through the customers and opportunities available at Canine Cottage Salem. We've worked hard to create a positive, supportive, team-oriented culture where people enjoy coming to work, help one another, and genuinely care about the dogs and families we serve.

What We're Looking For:

Professional grooming experience — ideally 2+ years An existing grooming clientele/book of business that you can bring with you Confidence grooming a variety of breeds, coat types and styles Someone who handles dogs safely, patiently and compassionately Excellent communication and customer-service skills Dependable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently Strong references and photos/portfolio of previous grooms Most importantly, someone who will be a great addition to our team and culture

Compensation:

This position is commission-based with tips and bonus opportunities, giving experienced groomers strong earning potential based on the volume and services they perform.

Estimated earning potential:

$25-$40+ per hour equivalent, depending on grooming volume, services performed, schedule and tips.

What You'll Be Doing:

Full-service dog grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, de-shedding and nail care Consulting with pet parents about grooming needs and expectations Evaluating coat and skin condition and recommending appropriate services Maintaining grooming notes and client preferences Keeping your work area, tools and equipment clean and sanitized Providing the safe, friendly and compassionate experience our customers have come to expect Why Canine Cottage Salem?
