Weekends only. Due to being over capacity, our local shelter needs help! Job hours are Sat - Sun 5AM to 11AM, (additional hours are almost always available) Attendants provide general care for animals at the shelter, cleaning cages/kennels, then watering, feeding, treating wounds, and administering medication. Sometimes doing laundry (dog towels and bedding) and running the dishwasher/washing dishes. Attendants interact with the public. The selected applicant must be over 18 and have a driver's license to drive a county vehicle. The purpose of our shelter is to give lost, confiscated or abandoned dogs a soft landing until they find a home; sometimes this is painful, as they don't come to us in good condition. Our dogs still need to be fed and tended, even on weekends and holidays. The dogs need someone they trust to take care of them, as it gives them some comfort in a stressful shelter. Please don't apply if you cannot commit to this effort.
