Responsibilities Provide comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, discuss pet health concerns, and offer advice on at-home pet care routines Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in proper working order Assist with basic dog training or behavioral guidance as needed to facilitate grooming sessions Recognizing signs of health issues such as skin conditions or injuries during grooming procedures Lift heavy equipment or pets safely to prevent injury while providing excellent animal handling and animal care Skills Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage various temperaments safely and compassionately Experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, bathing, and drying techniques Knowledge of animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions Familiarity with animal handling across different species such as dogs, cats, or equines enhances versatility Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that makes clients feel valued and understood Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy pets or equipment Basic pet sitting or animal care experience is beneficial for managing multiple pets efficiently Join us in creating a welcoming environment where animals are treated with kindness and professionalism.
