Job Description

Animal Caretaker and Personal Assistant Curious Critters by Casai Roy, WA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid training Flexible schedule Qualifications Companion animal handling Animal feeding Full Job Description ($18-22/hr for 2-5 hours per day, 4-6 days/wk) Currently we need someone for 1.5-2 hours Monday PM, Tuesday PM, Wednesday AM and PM, Thursday AM, Friday AM and PM, Sunday AM) Owner of a small zoo was injured in an automotive collision recently, and is unable to do basic care. I need someone to occasionally give me rides to and from work or doctor appointments, help my personal care (mostly just bringing me things or carrying things for me), help give animals food and water, clean things, fix simple things, pick up stuff, shovel, etc. I live in Roy, so someone located nearby would be ideal. We have a variety of animals, including small farm animals like goats and mini pigs, exotic animals like lizards, insects, and boas, and a sweet farm dog who will always be happy to see you. You won't have to come into contact with the snakes if you don't want to. Anyone applying for this role should be comfortable around these types of animals and have no issues preventing them from carrying buckets of feed and water around the property unaided. Applicant will need to be able to walk on very uneven ground, climb a ladder, carry 50lbs, move 75 lb bales of hay, balance while carrying 40 lbs and stepping over a 2 foot barrier, push, pull, and be on their feet for several hours at a time. The animals need to be fed and tended to twice a day, starting before 8AM and before dusk. Each feeding period takes up to 1.5 hours usually, so I am offering $27-33 for each feeding, plus hourly for other work. This work will need to continue for a few weeks. There will be intermittent work available after that.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
