About Us:

At Duck Duck Moose Pet Care, we're all about giving pets the love and care they deserve! As a small, local dog walking and pet care business, we focus on providing personalized services to the West Seattle, Burien, Beacon Hill, and Georgetown neighborhoods in 30, 45, and 60 minute visit durations. We're in need of dog walkers and are looking for friendly, reliable, and compassionate folks to join our team and begin training! Our clients value consistency in their pet care, so we're seeking candidates who are excited to build lasting relationships with our canine clients and their owners. If you're passionate about dogs, enjoy spending time outdoors, and are looking for a flexible, rewarding part-time job, we'd love to hear from you! We're looking for kind, communicative, and responsible dog lovers to join us as a Dog Walker. In this role, you'll be walking dogs of all sizes and personalities, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, attention, and care while their owners are away. You'll also be asked to provide basic pet care, such as feeding, playtime, and administering medications (when needed). This is a part-time role, and we're seeking someone who is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with us.

Responsibilities:

Walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring they're safe, comfortable, and happy during walks. Have fun with the dogs! Play with them during walks, give them some TLC, and keep them engaged. Provide basic care, including feeding, potty breaks, and giving medications (if required). Communicate with pet owners to keep them updated on their pets' well-being. Take pictures and create detailed visit reports for each service. Keep an eye out for any signs of illness or unusual behavior. Make sure all pets are treated with respect and care.

Required Availability:

Our primary walking schedule is Monday through Friday, 10am to 3pm. Extra hours are available for after-hours, weekends, and for overnight sittings if desired.

Requirements:

Experience with dogs is a must! Experience walking or providing pet care for anxious/dog-reactive dogs is a plus, but we're happy to train the right people. Must be reliable, punctual, and ready for some outdoor fun (rain or shine!). Must be detail oriented, every dog/client has unique routines/care instructions. Comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and energy levels, from playful pups to more relaxed dogs. A love for animals and a genuine desire to care for them. Top-tier communication skills, both with pets and their owners. Excellent time management skills. You'll need your own personal vehicle to get around to different clients' homes. A smartphone is necessary to keep track of walks, stay in touch with clients, and log walk details. Ability to lift and manage dogs of all sizes, and enjoy long walks in the fresh air. A background check will be required.
