Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being of the dogs while delivering excellent customer service to their owners. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments. While our primary goal is to find someone for the daycare, we will also want to train this person on the front part of the pet supply store as well to fill in when needed for shifts up front. Responsibilities Supervise and interact with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including play areas and equipment. Feed and provide fresh water to dogs as per their specific dietary needs. Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns or incidents to management. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs. Assist in training activities by reinforcing basic commands and good behavior during playtime. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the daycare environment. Skills Strong customer service skills to build positive relationships with pet owners. Experience or knowledge in animal handling and restraint techniques. Familiarity with pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and general health monitoring. Background as a veterinary technician or experience in a veterinary setting is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated. Knowledge of dog training techniques is advantageous for enhancing playgroup dynamics. $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
