An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

REQUIREMENTS
At least two years of professional dog-grooming experience Strong technical grooming skills, including breed-standard and customized pet trims A gentle, patient approach and commitment to safe, compassionate handling Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and maintain artepupp's quality standards Excellent communication skills and professional judgment when discussing a pet's coat, behavior or health concerns Dependable, organized and attentive to detail Comfortable driving and working independently in a mobile grooming environment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to safely lift and groom dogs weighing up to 75 lbs.
