Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dog Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a desire to provide exceptional service to our furry guests. Our Doggy Daycare Specialists / Dog Caretakers / Receptionists work a variety of shifts, and flexible with scheduling. As a Doggy Daycare Specialist / Dog Caretaker, much of your time is spent with our furry friends as you provide exercise and group play sessions as well as greeting parents upon drop off and pick up, cleaning up play yards, and taking potty clean up in stride! You are a go-getter and always willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to keeping our facilities clean and ready for guests including cleaning and preparing suites, feeding, watering, and cleaning up after the pups in our care. Each day, you take great pride in your ability to effectively interact with a wide range of dog types and personalities. Using your training and expertise, you compose play groups appropriately based on breed, temperament, personality, and size so that everyone can enjoy playing and the order can be maintained. You make sure that each dog is participating in play activities as expected, and at the end of the day, you help ensure that both parents and their pups have enjoyed their stay with us!   • Assist in the daily care and well-being of animals in the kennel
  • Provide food, water, and clean bedding for animals
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the supervisor
  • Assist with animal grooming and bathing as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kennel area
  • Interact with pet owners and provide excellent customer service Skills
  • Experience in animal care is preferred but not required
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Knowledge of pet sitting, kennel operations, pet grooming, or dog training is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor
  • Proficiency in animal handling and basic pet care techniques
