Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Animal Caregiver/ Cleaner, where your passion for animals and commitment to cleanliness come together to create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for our furry friends. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care, assist with pet handling, and maintain the cleanliness of our facilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure that every pet receives the love and attention they deserve while our environment remains sanitary and organized. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Duties Work as a team-member to complete all tasks in a timely manner Perform all daily cleaning tasks as set forth by the Shelter Manager or the daily task list Assure all dietary, water, exercise, and enrichment needs of the animals are met daily, or as directed by the Shelter Manager Monitor the individual and population health and behaviors of the animals, bringing concerns to the Shelter Manager Assist at shelter events as necessary Other general responsibilities as determined necessary Requirements Prior experience in animal handling, kennel work, or pet care is highly preferred, but not necessary Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus Experience working with cats and dogs Ability to handle animals safely Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members Willingness to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly Basic understanding of pet grooming and pet sitting responsibilities A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety

From $14.00 per hour
