Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. Must have 2 years experience in grooming dogs. Please note we do not groom cats. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments with care. At Purely Paws we provide dog grooming only; we do not groom cats. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Handle animals safely and compassionately while adhering to all safety protocols. Keep accurate records of services performed and any special instructions provided by pet owners. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service offerings. Qualifications Previous experience in dog grooming. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work with various breeds and temperaments. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Knowledge of basic animal care practices including dog training techniques is a plus. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.
