Job Description

Tabby and Jack's is now hiring a professional groomer to work at our Sun Praire and Monona Drive locations. Experienced groomers and recent Grooming School Graduates welcome to apply. We are a busy, high-end pet retail store and grooming salon business with 9 Dane County locations and a mobile grooming van. We always strive to create a calming environment for both dogs and groomers. Our exceptional customer service and extensive menu of very high-quality add-ons provide Tabby and Jack's groomers with higher income and gratuity potential. Groomers are paid a 50% commission, with our toy haircut service starting at $82. We offer Very Competitive Benefits, including an excellent Health Plan, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Short-term and Long-term Disability insurance. We also provide groomers with a two-week paid vacation based on their average commissions. Other benefits include a 20% discount on pet supplies, and Groomers are provided 25% off on any grooming tools from our Pro-Shop. Groomers set their schedules (limited by table space), and those willing to work weekends and evening shifts qualify for our bonus program, earning up to 5% of their commissions. Our salons have semi-private finishing suites for the groomers' and our guests' comfort. We also work with every client straight through, limiting the number of pets in our salon to promote a calmer and quieter environment. We are locally owned and managed, with an open-door policy that gives significant consideration to everyone's thoughts, ideas, and concerns. Responsibilities Provide high-quality grooming services for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety. Handle and restrain animals gently and effectively during grooming sessions. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and work areas. Offer excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Stay updated on pet care best practices and grooming techniques to enhance service quality. Maintain a positive demeanor and energy to help calm difficult situations.
Manager Qualifications:
Fully trained pet groomer and able to demonstrate your skills. You must own a complete set of professional grooming tools that are in good working condition. Must possess excellent handling skills and the ability to read pet body language for everyone's safety and comfort.
