THIS POSITION IS NOT FOR THE BAR, BUT FOR THE RESORT AS A KENNEL TECHNICIAN!
Supervise outdoor play yards Preferably have prior dog daycare experience at a pet resort or animal clinic. Maintain control and watch a large group of off leash dogs. No phone policy in the yard, only a walkie Address behavioral issues immediately without the use of force or physical interaction Must have prior experience with dog behavior to determine if dogs are suitable for daycare or not, and to place daycare dogs in groups Cleaning Duties Keep play yards clean of messes at all times, and clean our dog lodges and the resort. Cleaning is a big part of the job! Daily and weekly cleaning assignments to maintain a clean, safe environment Follow proper cleaning procedures and use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for both people and dogs Bathing Ability to bathe any size dog without direct supervision Ability to clip, or use a Dremel, to trim dog toenails with the assistance of another team member Ability to understand and follow the feeding, medication and allergy lists, without exception, and to ensure that all health standards are met Teamwork and Initiatives Ability to work with all team members in a respectful and professional manner Effectively communicates in both an oral and written fashion. Communicates relevant information daily via the activity log
Physical Job Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to stand, stoop, squat frequently Position requires standing and walking throughout shift Work environment could be noisy or loud at times
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and basic training techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with dog owners and provide updates on their pets' well-being.

Do you have previous experience working at a pet resort? If so, what did you do? Do you have previous work references? This is a requirement for the position. If we get to the stage where we call your references, what do you think they 'd say about you? Typical shifts are 645am-2pm, and 11-6pm, and for safety reasons we have a zero tolerance policy for being late. What is your availability? You must have weekend availability for this role.
