Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and customer service in a lively pet care environment. In this role, you will ensure the health, safety, and comfort of our furry guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming facility. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with animals, develop your animal handling skills, and contribute to a compassionate pet care community. Duties Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, administering medications, and monitoring health status Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their well-being and staff safety Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and pet grooming services as needed Observe animal behavior closely to detect signs of illness or distress and report findings promptly Support outdoor work activities such as exercise walks or playtime in secure outdoor spaces Maintain accurate records of animal intake, discharge, treatments, and special needs Requirements Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations demonstrates strong animal handling skills Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning supplies or equipment movement Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and behavior management strategies Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Experience with pet grooming, sanitation practices, and facility sanitization procedures is a plus Outdoor work experience is beneficial for supervising outdoor exercise areas or play yards This role requires energetic individuals who are passionate about animal care and eager to contribute to a vibrant team environment. Pay:
