Job Description
Dog Trainer in Training Sit Means Sit Long Beach Sit Means Sit Long Beach is looking for our next Dog Trainer. You'll begin by assisting trainers, caring for dogs, and learning our training methods while developing the skills needed to work independently with dogs and their owners. This is a training position with the expectation of advancing to Dog Trainer
•not a long-term kennel position. Continued employment is dependent upon successfully meeting established training and qualification benchmarks. We're looking for someone who is: Reliable, hardworking, and coachable Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments Willing to study, practice, and receive feedback Comfortable with written and practical evaluations Confident communicating with clients Serious about becoming a professional dog trainer Prior professional dog-training experience is not required. Veterans and transitioning service members are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to safely handle dogs that may pull, jump, or lunge Lift up to approximately 50 pounds Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, kneel, and squat Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Pay range: $18
•$22/ hour based on experience and demonstrated skills
