Job Description

Doggy Daycare Attendant / Dog Bather We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Doggy Daycare Attendant / Dog Bather starting mid to late September . This position is 2 days per week , with the potential for additional days after the training period. The ideal candidate has strong dog-handling skills, experience caring for dogs of all sizes, bathing experience, good stamina, and a genuine passion for providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our furry clients.
Bonus:
You may bring your own dog to work, as long as they are under 40lb and passes our evaluation requirements! Schedule Generally 6-hour shifts Shifts fall within 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Must be available for occasional schedule changes or additional hours when requested Earliest start time may be 7:00 AM Responsibilities Open the daycare and prepare the facility to receive clients Check dogs in and out and communicate with their owners Provide daily updates to clients regarding their dogs Follow special care instructions and individual needs Take dogs on walks of varying lengths as needed Provide plenty of playtime, exercise, attention, and engagement Monitor dogs closely for changes in health, behavior, or temperament and report concerns to the owner Safely handle dogs, including dogs requiring special handling due to health or behavioral concerns Clean up after dogs throughout the day, including picking up waste Maintain a very clean, organized, and sanitary daycare environment Clean and disinfect potty areas, kennels, equipment, and play areas Maintain accurate records of walks, including times and notable events Assist with feeding and other basic care needs as directed Lift and carry dog food, supplies, and other items as needed Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to client questions and requests Continue developing knowledge of dog behavior, training, and basic health concerns Bathing 1-2 dogs during a shift may be requested and will be compensated additionally Qualifications Previous experience in dog care and/or dog walking is required Strong understanding of dog behavior and body language Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Reliable, responsible, and punctual Very clean and detail-oriented Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive throughout the shift Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting and cleaning Reliable transportation Flexible availability when additional coverage is needed Dog training or veterinary-care experience is a plus Bathing/grooming experience is a plus Important This position requires someone who is comfortable with constant cleaning and maintaining a high standard of sanitation . Keeping the daycare clean and safe is a major part of the job. Personal phone use during shifts will be limited. Why Join Us?
