Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health condition, identifying any signs of illness or injury that may require veterinary attention or special care Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly disinfected after each use Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with dog training activities or behavioral assessments as needed to support overall pet well-being Support other team members with animal handling, kennel duties, or pet sitting tasks to ensure a smooth operation Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods Knowledge of veterinary procedures, veterinary technician experience or veterinary assistant background is highly desirable Familiarity with dog training principles and behavioral management strategies Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large dogs or equipment Excellent animal handling skills with a compassionate approach to pet care and customer service Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members while maintaining professionalism Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming and compassionate care!
