The Barker Lounge is hiring dependable college students for part-time, school-year positions caring for dogs at our Alpharetta daycare and boarding facility. This is a great opportunity for students who love animals, want consistent income during the academic year, and can commit to a reliable weekly schedule. We can schedule employees for consistent morning shifts, afternoon shifts, or specific weekdays based on their established class schedule. However, availability must remain generally consistent from week to week. Schedule and Availability Approximately 26-32.5 hours per week Usually four to five shifts per week At least one weekend shift is required Two weekend shifts are strongly preferred when possible Employees may work consistent mornings, afternoons, or designated weekdays Applicants must be able to maintain a dependable, preset weekly schedule Additional hours may be available during school breaks, holidays, and busy travel periods We are ideally looking for students who can remain with us throughout the full academic year Additional hours or full-time opportunities may also be available Our regular shifts are:
Morning:
6:25 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Afternoon:
12:50 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Dog Daycare Attendant ResponsibilitiesDog Care and Group Management Help manage the safety, activity, and well-being of an assigned group of dogs Learn the names, personalities, and behaviors of the dogs in your care Monitor dog interactions and maintain a safe play environment Clean up after dogs throughout the shift Learn and follow our dog behavior, communication, and safety procedures Cleaning and Facility Responsibilities Caring for dogs also requires substantial cleaning.
