Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as an Animal Caretaker, where your passion for animals and commitment to their well-being will shine. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate care, ensure safe handling, and maintain a clean and healthy environment for a variety of animals. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, nurturing space that promotes the health and happiness of every pet in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on animals' lives while developing valuable skills in animal handling and veterinary support. Duties Feed, water, and monitor animals to ensure proper nutrition and hydration Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to maintain hygiene and comfort Maintain detailed records of animal health, behavior, feeding schedules, and treatments Assist with kennel cleaning, sanitation, and organization to uphold hygiene standards (primary focus) Lift heavy supplies or equipment safely as needed to support daily operations Qualifications Prior experience with veterinary assistance or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills Experience in pet grooming, pet sitting or kennel management is advantageous Familiarity with veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to support medical procedures Strong animal restraint skills to ensure safety during handling or examinations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Passion for animal care combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills Monday Tuesday and Thursday Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication makes a real difference!
