Job Description
Important Schedule information: We are seeking a person to work Weekends and Holidays, as well as afternoons 3 days a week. (Weekdays can be flexible but Weekends are mandatory. Ideal schedule would be 1pm-5pm M, Thu, Fr and Weekends would be split shift, Sat and Sun would be 7:30a - 10am and then again 3pm-5pm. Time adjustments could be accommodated within reason. Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry residents! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will ensure pets receive the highest quality of care, attention, and love while supporting the overall operations of our kennel. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals in our boarding facility. Duties Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitation and disinfecting procedures Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their well-being and staff safety Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to promote healthy behavior and comfort Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness, reporting concerns promptly to veterinary professionals Skills Pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling experience demonstrates your ability to work confidently with diverse animals Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices ensures safe handling Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or equipment setup is essential Outdoor work experience helps in managing pets during outdoor activities or yard duties Familiarity with animal behavior principles enhances your ability to assess and respond appropriately to different animals' needs Join us in creating a caring environment where pets are treated with compassion and respect!
