We are hiring experienced Kennel Managers to begin working at our Carol Stream location , where they will learn our operations, develop within our management structure, and become fully prepared to take on a supporting leadership role when our Addison location opens . What You'll Do:

Learn and follow The Gold Leash's established Back-of-House operating procedures Oversee daily BOH operations, including feeding, cleaning, sanitizing, dog handling, and care routines Lead, guide, and support Pet Techs during playgroups, room cleaning, individual care, and shift transitions Ensure the facility remains safe, organized, clean, and running smoothly Assist with medications, feeding schedules, kennel assignments, and accurate documentation Monitor workflow and ensure assigned responsibilities are completed correctly and on time Maintain strong communication with management and participate in daily briefings Support Front-of-House operations during peak check-in and check-out periods when needed Continue developing within our leadership team in preparation for supporting the opening and operation of our future Addison location What We're Looking For —

Must-Haves:

Kennel or daycare experience: Previous professional experience working in a kennel, boarding facility, or dog daycare Management or leadership experience: The ability to confidently lead staff, coach team members, delegate responsibilities, and manage workflow Dog-handling experience: Skilled and comfortable working hands-on with dogs of different sizes, breeds, play styles, and temperaments Growth mindset: Willingness to learn The Gold Leash's procedures at Carol Stream and prepare for a future supporting leadership role in

Calm, proactive, and team-focused leadership style Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols Physically active and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, professional, and accountable Able to communicate effectively with staff and senior management Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed Comfortable working within a business that operates 365 days per year, with shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 8:00
