In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and loving environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Your positive attitude and animal handling skills will ensure each dog receives personalized attention, socialization, and care throughout their day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with furry friends while contributing to a fun and dynamic team atmosphere. Duties Supervise and monitor dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and proper behavior Assist with dog training exercises to promote good manners and obedience Handle dogs using animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during activities or grooming Support pet sitting duties by feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after dogs Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play zones, and common spaces Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health status, and special needs Lift heavy items such as dog crates or supplies safely to prevent injury Qualifications Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage multiple dogs safely Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts Previous veterinary assistant or kennel experience is advantageous but not required Will train on the job for what is needed.
