Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kennel Tech & Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs while ensuring their well-being and happiness. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds with care and confidence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively pet care environment, providing top-quality care, enrichment, and comfort to our furry guests. Whether you're assisting with daily pet care routines or engaging in outdoor activities, your dedication will help create a safe, clean, and joyful space for animals to thrive. This position is paid and offers potential for full-time growth for motivated individuals eager to expand their skills in animal care. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including cleaning up after the dogs and sanitizing play equipment. Maintain cleanliness in the kennel, including cleaning up after the dogs, doing laundry, and washing dishes. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management promptly. Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing general care for the dogs. Communicate effectively with management regarding their dog's behavior and any special needs or concerns. Qualifications Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred but not required. Knowledge of dog training techniques or veterinary experience is a plus. Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel operations is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving supplies. Attention to detail is a must. Reliability is essential. Must work well with a team. All positions here at the resort require working both inside and outside. This job can be physically demanding yet is fun & rewarding! All employees MUST be able to work weekends and holidays. We are our busiest when everyone goes on vacation or out of town to see family, so we need "all hands on deck" during peak & holidays seasons! This also gives the opportunity for students to pick up more hours when they are on breaks. Starting wage is $15.
