We're looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Dog Trainer to join our team and help us provide high-quality training and enrichment to the dogs in our care.
Job Description:
As an Assistant Dog Trainer, you'll work alongside our lead trainers to assist in the implementation of training programs, support dog behavior assessments, and guide our clients through their dogs' training journeys. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you'll gain valuable experience in dog training and behavior while working with a passionate team.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead trainers during training sessions (group and private classes) for puppies, adult dogs, and dogs with behavioral issues Help with managing and supervising dogs during daycare hours to reinforce training concepts Assist in creating individualized training plans for dogs based on their behavior and progress Provide guidance to dog owners on training techniques, commands, and behavioral strategies Handle dogs of various temperaments and sizes with a calm, patient, and positive approach Participate in ongoing education and training to improve knowledge of dog behavior, training techniques, and handling skills Help with administrative tasks such as recording progress notes, scheduling training sessions, and client follow-ups

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
