Job Description

Kennel Attendant:
Come join the Fissan Team where we are in the business of educating people and pets. Providing doggy daycare, boarding, training, grooming and dog supplies Must work every other weekend and Holidays. Holidays paid time and a half.
Responsibilities:
  • Feed and water animals according to their individual needs
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas.
  • Provide exercise and socialization for animals.
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to management.
  • Administer medication and treatments as directed by management or veterinary staff.
  • Assist with bathing of animals as directed.
  • Answer phones and assist customers with inquiries and reservations.
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior.
Requirements:
  • Must work a rotating schedule including every other Saturday and Sunday. Hours start at 7am on weekends. Evening shifts complete at approximately 9 pm.
  • Must be able to work Holidays (paid time and a half)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience working with animals preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with all breeds and temperaments of dogs. Including working dog breeds.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to react quickly and respond to emergent issues.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Must work minimum of every other weekend.
Physical Demands:
The Kennel Attendant will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. The position may also require bending, stooping, and kneeling. Must attend dog training sessions during first 6-10 weeks of employment
Hours:
15+ hours per week shifts vary. Openers start at 6-7 am. Evening shifts starting at 3:30 pm
Pay:
From $12.00 per hour
