Job Description

City Paws is an upscale Pet Club with a preschool model for our furry friends to enjoy throughout the day. We offer daycare, lodging, self-serve and full-service bathing, grooming and retail. Our number one goal is to retain the best employees in a fun and supervised environment. We believe every dog should receive the highest levels of personal attention, care, and love. We want our dogs to be happy and healthy! Your main job description as a dog handler is to supervise, manage, and interact with groups of off-leash dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our goal is to give our guests socialization, brain work, nose work and exercise as well as maintaining an exceptionally high level of dog safety. This will include breaking up rough or inappropriate interactions between dogs of all sizes weights. Also included is light cleaning duties such as: clean & disinfect kennels; feed & water dogs; vacuum, mop, & scrub floors (with auto floor scrubber), clean up dogs' messes. Communicate dogs' behavior or health issues with the Manager. This is a fun job; you are hanging with dogs:)!
Qualifications:
Experience working with dogs is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to lift 40 lbs with no restrictions. Able to stand for long periods of time and be physically active throughout the shift. Must have a love for dogs of all shapes and sizes!! Be patient & tolerant of: dogs in general, loud environments (barking), dog waste, odor and dog hair.
Scheduling Requirements:
Mid
  • Shifts 12:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM and Closing Shifts from 2:00 PM
  • 9:00 PM.
Currently seeking candidates only available for this shift. 1 weekend day shift per week is required.
