We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Dog Trainer to join our team at K9 Mania Dog Training in Deer Park, Long Island, NY. What You'll Do:
Assist in conducting training sessions and classes with guidance from experienced trainers. Learn and apply dog training techniques , including positive reinforcement and classical conditioning, to encourage desired behaviors. Participate in dog evaluations to determine the best training methods. Demonstrate basic obedience commands (e.g., sit, stay, recall, leash walking). Assist in advanced training , such as agility and scent work. Track dogs' progress and document training sessions to monitor their development. Educate dog owners on techniques and methods to reinforce training at home. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for dogs and staff.

Location:
Must be willing to work in Deer Park, Long Island, NY . Passion for
Dogs:
A deep love for dogs and a genuine interest in dog training.
Great Communication Skills:
Ability to connect with clients and team members effectively.
Dog Handling Ability:
Comfort working with dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
Strong Learning Capacity:
Willingness to adapt training methods based on experience and feedback.
Patience and Empathy:
Understanding the needs of both dogs and their owners.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
Experience:
