Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time LIC based Dog Walker, where your passion for animals and outdoor activity will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide reliable, caring, and professional dog walking services to clients in the local community. Your enthusiasm for animal care combined with excellent client communication skills will ensure every pet receives the exercise and attention they deserve. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to make a positive impact on pets' lives while enjoying the great outdoors. Responsibilities Safely walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring proper handling and restraint techniques are used at all times Provide pet exercise tailored to each dog's age, breed, and health needs to promote physical activity and mental stimulation Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behavior, health status, and any concerns during walks Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of waste and ensuring equipment is in good condition Follow specific training protocols for dogs requiring behavioral guidance or training reinforcement Adapt to different outdoor environments while ensuring safety for both pets and yourself during walks Report any incidents or health issues observed during walks promptly to pet owners and Management Requirements Proven experience in dog handling, animal care, or related fields such as veterinary technician etc Strong knowledge of animal behavior, training techniques, and corrective methods Ability to handle multiple dogs safely and confidently during outdoor walks Excellent communication skills for client interaction and reporting Comfortable performing outdoor work in various weather conditions Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., carrying supplies or assisting with larger dogs) Prior experience with pet sitting, overnight in-home care, or animal behavior management is advantageous Embark on a fulfilling journey where your love for animals meets an active lifestyle!
