Whether you're experienced in veterinary care or passionate about animal behavior, your enthusiasm will help create positive experiences for pets and their owners. Responsibilities Provide basic obedience training and behavioral guidance to dogs and other pets, ensuring positive reinforcement techniques are used effectively Handle animals safely and confidently during training sessions, grooming, feeding, and routine care Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and pet boarding facilities through thorough sanitization and organization Assist with pet boarding by monitoring animals' well-being, feeding schedules, and activity needs Support veterinary team members with animal restraint during examinations or treatments when necessary Engage in outdoor work such as walking dogs and supervising playtime to promote healthy activity Deliver excellent customer service by communicating pet progress to owners and answering questions about pet care routines Experience Previous training experience, shelter experience ; a genuine love for animals is essential Experience in dog training, or animal handling demonstrates your ability to work confidently with pets of all temperaments Kennel experience or animal care background provides a strong foundation for managing multiple animals in a busy environment Skills in pet boarding enhance your ability to deliver comprehensive care Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during cleaning or equipment setup is important for maintaining facility standards Outdoor work experience supports the physical demands of walking dogs and supervising outdoor activities Strong customer service skills ensure clear communication with pet owners and team members about animal health and behavior Join us to make a difference in the lives of animals while developing your skills in a lively, rewarding environment!
