Job Description

Dirt Road Dogs is hiring a Full-Time Kennel Tech (Junior Counselor) for our awesome dog campers! Like hiking? Like dogs? This job is for you! Applicants must be 18+ Must have reliable transportation to Harrah, OK We are looking to hire a motivated, experienced dog lover to fill a FT position. 3 x 12 hours shifts per week 7am - 7pm, some weekends and holidays. Pay range from $12-14/hr based on experience and skill level. Dog training, kennel tech or dog handling experience is required for this position. There is paid training for the right candidate. Must be comfortable, bending, lifting 50#, cleaning up according to procedure including but not limited to hair, dirt, vomit and excrement. This position has growth and increased opportunities for the right candidate. Applicants should be comfortable around groups of excitable dogs and open to learning about dog behavior and comfortable working outside in the elements. We are looking to hire immediately. Summary As a "Junior Counselor" , you will be essential in providing a clean, safe and nurturing environment for dogs and assisting the "Lead Counselor" in running playgroups and going on pack hikes with our dog campers. You will assist in cleaning kennels, monitoring food intake, sanitizing bedding, bowls and bathing dogs after a fun day at camp. This is a crucial position that helps everything flow behind the scenes while our dogs are in our care. There is room for growth for the right candidate that shows hard work and a desire to handle dogs more directly. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
