Hillsboro, OR Part-Time | Flexible Schedule (including evenings/weekends) About Us At Camp Bow Wow Hillsboro, we provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment where dogs can play, learn, and thrive. We are passionate about strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners through positive experiences and expert care. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dog Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys building client relationships, and is committed to positive reinforcement training methods. Responsibilities Conduct private training sessions and/or group classes Create customized training plans tailored to each dog Educate pet parents on effective training techniques Support and reinforce positive behavior within our daycare environment Track progress and communicate updates with clients Maintain a safe and engaging atmosphere for all dogs Qualifications Previous dog training experience required Strong understanding of canine behavior and body language Commitment to positive reinforcement methods Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Professional certification (CPDT-KA, ABC, etc.) is a plus, but not required Compensation Compensation will be determined during the interview process based on services offered and experience. This role may be structured as hourly, commission-based, or a combination of both.
