Job Overview IF you are an adult (over the age of 18), then come join our dynamic team as a Canine Behavior Coach and Open Playroom Coach, where your passion for dogs and animal care will shine! As a Canine Coach you will be the heartbeat of our dog daycare, ensuring each pup receives exercise, brain engaging activities, and most importantly a safe environment to thrive. Your enthusiasm will help foster positive socialization, promote good dog behavior, and create a fun, nurturing atmosphere for every dog that walks through our doors. We teach and lead by example, being positive and safe! If you love working with dogs and want to excel in dog behavior and safety, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference every day! Duties Be able to move quickly on your feet for 5-6 hours at a time. Maintain your continuing training and knowledge. Provide engaging and positive dog interaction and constant dog supervision to promote positive dog behavior and social skills in an open playroom environment. Manage dogs safely using Dogtopia learned protocol and skills Constantly monitor dog behavior in open play to ensure safe interactions and be proactive to prevent conflicts Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including all components of the play areas, and ensuring a hygienic environment for you and the dogs Communicate effectively with staff about dogs' progress, behavior, and care needs Have quick cognitive response skills and great instincts with dog behavior. MUST BE 18
Years of age or older to apply Prior experience in dog training or animal handling roles p referred Cleaning skills and ability to follow the cleaning protocol required Compassion and ability to meet diverse canine needs Strong communication skills to report dog behaviors during each shift Ability to perform lifting when necessary for cleaning or moving equipment and supplies Ability to run and move quickly as well as be agile in moving around the playroom.
