Centurion Canine is seeking a dedicated, driven, and responsible Full-Time Head Kennel Technician to join our team. The Head Kennel Technician is a key member of our team and plays an important role in keeping the kennel operating safely, cleanly, and efficiently. This position goes beyond basic dog care—you will be responsible for maintaining the daily standards of the kennel, ensuring dogs receive consistent care, and helping keep the rest of the team organized and on track. We are not just looking for someone to "watch dogs." We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values structure and consistency, and is ready to take ownership of an important part of our operation. We work with a wide range of dogs, from Yorkies to Police K9s, and provide paid, on-the-job training from day one. The Head Kennel Technician position is also given priority consideration for career development into our apprenticeship program. Responsibilities Provide daily care for all dogs, including feeding, watering, exercise, and general monitoring Maintain cleanliness of kennels, training areas, and common spaces to a high standard Ensure daily kennel routines and cleaning procedures are completed consistently Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns immediately Accurately follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, and special care requirements Maintain clear and accurate kennel labeling, including bite risks, allergies, and other important notes Help organize and prioritize daily kennel tasks Support trainers and other team members as needed Assist with grooming or basic care tasks when necessary Help ensure other kennel staff are following established procedures and maintaining expected standards Communicate important information clearly to trainers and management Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting supplies and working with dogs of all sizes Help maintain a safe, organized, and professional kennel environment Qualifications & Requirements Previous kennel experience is required Ability to work 35-40 hours per week Strong attention to detail and ability to follow systems precisely Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, crouching, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to accurately transcribe client-provided information and ensure all dogs' feeding schedules, medications, and special instructions are followed without error Responsible for maintaining clear and accurate kennel labeling, including identifying bite risks, allergies, and other important notes Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and behaviors, including dogs that may be reactive or aggressive

Note:

Scheduling is flexible based on the needs of the kennel, with shifts likely to fall primarily within approximately 12:00 PM-8:00 PM. Schedule may vary based on kennel operations, staffing needs, and employee availability.
